Crete Island Shopping: 49 reviews and 59 photos
It seems like the true sign of whether a travel destination has become a tourist trap is the number of jewelry stores it has. And while Paleochora does have some jewelry stores, it doesn't have very many, and most of the ones it does have sell more original and artistic works than typical tourist jewelry stores. One that we liked very much is Opal Jewellery in Paleochora. Unfortunately I don't have their address because it's not listed on their business card, but it is in a corner building on or near the main east-west street in town.
