The USS Arizona Memorial, pictured here, is probably the most frequently seen photo from Honolulu. There is a reason - it is well worth the visit as it is a moving tribute and memorial. We had a very short visit spending only two nights and one day but it is amazing how much you can see in a short time. We are not big into beaches but found Waikiki a beautiful beach and an amazing series of shops of all kinds. |
| | No grass skirts & coconuts The other major sight we saw in addition to the Arizona was the Bishop Museum which is a small but amazingly comprehensive place dedicated to natural and cultural history of Hawaii and the Pacific. In the photo two local young women demonstrate the classic hula which is about telling a story. They were wonderful. |

I was quite moved the the whole Pearl Harbour experience. | CandS Mon Aug 1, 2005 06:05 UTC Nice page! I can't wait to go to Hawaii in September for our honeymoon!!! :) | LizD Mon Jul 4, 2005 19:19 UTC what wonderful yet eerie photos of your visit to Pearl Harbour. I went there in December 2002 and found it a most memorable experience. |
