Hotel Emonec: Great location, great price, strange bathroom Hotel Emonec Review

This is a new hotel so the facilities are bright, clean and pleasant. The location is wonderful - just about 1/2 block off Preseren Square. We found the room nice and were generally pleased with our stay. The staff was very professional, cordial and helpful. The bathroom was a bit strange in that it was a small room nicely lined with attractive tilework but it had sink, toilet and shower all in the small space with no shower curtain. It was not a big problem but took a little getting used to. You had to be careful where you aimed the shower or you could end up with soggy toilet paper as well as a wet throne.

Unique Qualities: It is easy to miss the hotel as it is behind street level through a drive but there are address and name signs. This location does add an element of security as vehicles have to be permitted by the hotel or other business before they can enter.

One positive and one negative:

If you have a car, free parking is provided.

The breakfast is pretty mediocre - American kid style (sweet) cereals, imitation orange juice. The redeeming features were good bread butter and jams. They also have meats and cheeses which we did not try. The coffee was not up to par for European coffee.
