Restaurant Name: Le Celtique
This is a fairly new looking cafe with lots of glass at and over the front which gives it a nice airy ambience. The day we were there it was raining, but there is a nice terrace for fair weather. There were some table games in the back which were occupied by local young people so it seems to attract the younger local set. We arrived after the normal lunch hour and asked if we could have lunch. Our waiter was very accomodating and inquired of the chef who agreed to feed us.
Favorite Dish: The food was not fancy but very good - I had a very nice omelette with a good green salad and my wife had a croque monsieur with the salad. We both had what I regard as the best French beer, Kronenbourg 1664 which is brewed in Alsace. It was named after the year the Hatt family, the brewery's founders, first started commercial brewing. This is a darkish beer with golden highlights has an aromatic hoppiness and a subtle but not harsh bitterness. Okay, so us dumb Americans don't know better than to drink beer in France!
