A short bus trip, perhaps an hour, from Jerez, is this fantastic hill top village, where the sun shines, and the valley shimmers in the heat.
The bus drops you off at the bottom of the village, from which an hours stroll through peaceful houses takes you to the church & the white washes homes you see here. |
| | Hotel with a view Set almost on the top of the hill is a Parrador Hotel. I think this is the Hotel chain in which certain Spanish royalty have an interest. Stop and take a cool drink, or even indulge in the restaurant with its fine local cuisine, bit pricey though!
When I was here the Parrador were running a special offer, which went something like stay 5 nights in any of the Hotels in Spain, for only £50 a room. About 75 Euros. Fantastic value for something special. |
