A Cosmopolitan Dream

View of Hong Kong Island from Kowloon
Hong Kong is a modern city with an ancient feeling. As its people hurriedly go about their daily business, the deeply seeded Chinese culture still pulsates through the city and its inhabitants. There is a wide range of experiences to be had...ranging from couture shopping to the everyday markets.

As I arrived in Hong Kong, I tried to imagine what it was like for my mom as a little girl growing up in this city. I am certain that so much has changed since she was last here. I think that two things haven't changed...according to my grandparents...and those are the massive amounts of people and small amount of space. The hot August weather was sweltering for someone like me living in more northern climes.
