Manarola is by far one of my favorite towns in the Cinque Terre. This is quite possibly because this is where I chose to stay during my stay in the Cinque Terre. From the moment I stepped off the train and walked through the tunnel to the town, I fell in love with the water, the scents, and the cozy feeling that I came to a place where I felt at home.
Manarola is known for being the start of the stretch of hiking called the Via dell’ Amore. This easy stroll of 2km stretches between Riomaggiore and Manarola. The lull of the Ligurian Sea lapping its waves against the rocks will bring serenity to your soul and evoke romance in even the most skeptical!! |
