Marathon - Heart of the Keys

Marathon is a great town. The pace of life is laid back and nature rules. Many conveniences are found in town. Publix, Winn Dixie, Eckerds, Wal Greens, Block Buster, KMart. Many restaurants and deli's to choose from. A Post Office Branch, Home Depot, Office Max.

And then there are the treasures, which you find around each turn. Sombrero Beach, Coco Plum Beach, Curry Hammock State Park, Bahia Honda State Park. One of our favorite past times was to walk on the fishing bridges and soak in the views of aqua water dotted with boats and tiny islands. In one week, we shot 24 rolls of film around Marathon. I feel like I have to visit many more times to discover all of the special spots in Marathon. Can't wait to return!

Great page on Marathon Key! Wish we stop by the Dolphin research Center, love dolphins. The shell man is a perfect shopping place for nautical stuff. Good coverage. :o)
