A federal state in the heart of Europe. Has an area of 41,293 square meters . It is northernly bordered by Germany to the north, Austria & the Principality of Lichtenstein to the east, Italy to the south and France to the west. Berne is the capital city. Although hilly and mountanous , the country is much more characterized than these mountains and foothhills. It has four main languages, namely German, French, Italian and Romansh plus many dialects.

Luzern

A lot in a small place, that is Switzerland. Enjoy pure nature and diversities in trendy cities with a vibrant cultutal scene, charming lakes, impressive glaciers and mountains, fruit orchards and many many others. All of these are so close together.
In an hour or two train trip from most main cities, you can see completely different landscapes. To name few, they are, Lucerne, Zurich,Interlaken,Zermatt and so on....
Switzerland's alpine region provides recreation and relaxation for foreign tourists and locals as well.

The three international airports namely: in KLoten Zurich, Basel-Mülhouse and Geneva are great starting points to any specific destination of the country

Nice overview of attractions in Switzerland! At first glace I was surprised to see that there was a place named after Heidi Klum, but then I saw it was really Harder Kulm. Glad to see there are some carfree places like Braunwald.
