Third Spanish biggest and a bright city

A lively city located at the Mediterranean Sea, 13 m above sea level. the city where Il Cid, spain's National hero fought against the Moors and popular festivals in the city and in the villages are celebrated reminding of this epoch. Has an ample of cultural offer, fantastic possibilities for sports, nice beaches, inportant trade fairs . Not to forget, it's famous and tasty Paella Valenciana.
Palau de les Arts

Valencian Opera House


A part of the City of Arts and Sciences designed by Santiago de Calatrava, inaugurated just a year ago.Measuring over 70 metres in height and with a total floor area of around 40,000 square metres, the Palau de les Arts is divided into four separate halls, all boasting the latest technological advances conceived to stage all kinds of opera, musical and theatrical performances. The main Hall is at the heart of the building, both formally and structurally speaking. Designed to seat more than1800, it will be used for opera, zarzuela, classical ballet, contemporary dance, symphonic music, musicals and theatre.

On a beautiful September morning before leaving Valencia, we took a taxi and headed to the port. We were curious about the coming 32nd America's Cup Challenge so we decided to make a short visit and did our stroll and took some nice captures of the area.

 Interesting tips on a city that has changed a lot (!) since I went through on my bicycle at Christmas 44 years ago. Thanks for including the stunning new opera house.

 Great tips and a surprise for me! I saw exclusively old face of Valencia as I was there over 10 years ago (my first Spannish city :-). Barraca looks very nice.
