Cebu Island Travel Guide: 159 reviews and 433 photos
An island and province in the south sea of central Philippines, part of the Visayan Islands (Region 7). The island is nestled between Bohol and Negros. The province is predominantly Catholic, about 15 percent chinese. Cebu is comprised of a long and thin island, plus a few smaller islands off-shore. The airport is located on the flat island of Mactan which is separated from the main island by the narrow Mactan Channel. About an hour away from Manila by air. In the north of the main island are Bantayan Island and Malapascua. Further off are the Camotes islands, which are technically still part of Cebu Province.
The province has six cities namely; Cebu city (the capital and the largest city of the island), Mandaue City , Talisay city, Lapulapu City (across the bridges of Mactan island), Toledo and Danao city. The three cities, Cebu (in midst of the island), Mandaue (the northmost), and Talisay (in the south) have all grown into each other, and now form one contiguous urban sprawl known as Metro Cebu.

So you used to be a student in Cebu City! I've never been there, but my daughter lived there for a while. I don't think she did much sightseeing, though, because she was working and also had a baby and a husband to take care of.
I was thinking of visiting Cebu with my family... Nice page of Swizz...more photos of phils.. cheers

I can understand Cebuano dialect but gamay lang. So you must include in your travel list Cebu City and visit again the Queen City of the South. By the way, thanks for the ratings.
Very useful tips of Cebu Island. Am sure I will enjoy the place. Will be visiting Cebu May 21-22 this year. Lots of seafood I guess. Thanks for sharing your tips.
