Many times we take our lives for granted, many times we over react to some difficulties of our lives, and sometimes we might forget the next door neighbour is human and loves their children as much as we love ours, despite of race, political and/or religious belief. So, all I can say in a very selfish way, or maybe not, is, thank you all terrorists, religious fanatics, suicide bombers, etc. Thank you for bringing us, democratic societies closer and closer, thank you for making us realize that despite of all its ugly imperfections, how good democracy is. Thank you for not letting us take our lives and freedoms for granted, for reminding us how ugly and sick hate is.

I have always lived in Lisbon and just recently moved to The Netherlands as part of my wish to live in a few places around the globe. At least while I dont have a family life that demands more stability and will change this way of life.
I started going places on my own very young and soon realized that I wanted to find out about different cultures, their history and costums. Im never satisfied with one way of seeing the same matter, but I do think some values are, or at least should be absolute, mutilating females and children cant be right anywhere in the world.
Travelling is the nicest and funnest way to improve our vision of the world and learn how to realize our own socitety's goods and bads.

Intelectually stimulating subjects as sciences, history and politics, are the things that interest me the most. Although, I do love to stop thinking and just appreciate what nature and the senses have to offer. Stuff like food, wine, sun, ocean, rain, grant me some of the most pleasurable moments. Those simple things like walking on the sand or taking a nap in the shade of a tree mean a lot to me.

I am sorry I have kind of given up on my VT pages. In truth I was planning to rebuild what I once deleted but Ive been lacking the time and the will, so it seems.
Because most good things happen naturally, I will not force myself to do it and I would rather have it linger until the spark triggers me into boosting my VT participation.
