Atmosphere Modern Dining Restaurant

@mosphere: Feel the @mosphere

@mosphere, the modern dining restaurant on the 18th floor of Menara Tun Mustapha. It is also Sabah's 360 degrees revolving restaurant & bar.

If you dine at the restaurant, you can leave your car to the car jockey then head to the designated elevator to level 18. Then pick your choice of seats among the various furniture settings. From comfy sofas to futuristic chairs.

Try their signature mocktail, Atmosphere if you can't take alcohol. Enjoy the sea scenery or KK city view while sipping your beverage. The restaurant is revolving slowly and it will stop turning after 2:30pm. You really can relax & immerse yourself in the atmosphere here. Seafood dishes from Ocean Seafood Village - Kota Kinabalu

Seafood dishes from Ocean Seafood Village

Ocean Seafood Village: Fresh & Tasty Seafood

This is a very popular seafood restaurant by the waterfront for the tourists & tour groups. So be there early or else you have to stand outside the main entrance to wait for your turn. This eatery is halal so it's suitable for muslim tourists as well.

Once you have stepped inside the restaurant compound, the most fascinating sight is the numerous fish tanks with with live seafood. It serves a variety of seafood, from the most common to the exotic ones, like coconut crab, geoduck, etc. Go pick your seafood, weigh them & ask to be cooked to your liking & perfection.

Price here is a bit on the high side due to its clientele consists mainly of tourists. However, the food quality here is assured of freshness & tastiness. You can chose your seating in air-conditioned room or outdoor huts.

Mountain view at Fairy Garden - Kota Kinabalu

Mountain view at Fairy Garden

Fairy Garden: Lunch at Fairy Garden

There's not many restaurants along the way to Poring Hotspring or Kinabalu. This is one of the few restaurants that tour operator will bring their customers here to have lunch. The restaurant is at ground floor and the place can be cooling when the sky is cloudy. Pine trees & mountainous view surronded the area. Upper floors are all accommodation for mountain climbers.

Favorite Dish: Crispy chicken with sour plum powder

Malay seafood stalls at Anjung Senja Waterfront - Kota Kinabalu

Malay seafood stalls at Anjung Senja Waterfront

Anjung Senja: Dinner at Anjung Senja Waterfront

"The Sunset Esplanade" just across Promenade Hotel by the seafront features a stretch of hawker stalls offering delicious local delicacies and souvenirs. It serves mainly malay food like grilled fish, steamboat, tom yam, etc. This is a food destination for the locals rather than for the tourists, I guess. Some parts of the waterfront is dark and you can't see much of the water.

Curry laksa from Yee Fung coffeeshop - Kota Kinabalu

Curry laksa from Yee Fung coffeeshop

Yee Fung Restaurant: Sabah Laksa

After your bargain shopping at Sunday Gaya Street Market, fill your stomach with a bowl of Sabah Laksa. In Malaysia, there's a variety of laksa or curry noodle. The variation is simply good.

Favorite Dish: I find this Sabah Laksa not so spicy nor creamy with coconut milk but has a tinge of sourness. It's quite different from the usual curry laksa with cockles & fried beancurd. It has some peppermint leaves as topping.

Address: Gaya Street
