"SURVIVAL TOUR" 2004-HUA HIN

RELAXING BY THE BEACH IN HUA HIN

FROM MY GUESTHOUSE-Hua Hin.
For the last few days in Thailand, my brother and I stopped here on our way to Bangkok. Were only going to spend a day or two but we ended up staying dor a few.
Hua Hin is a very relaxing and laid back, so I took advantage before the 20 hour flight back home (it actually was more like 32 hours with delays).

We arrived by train from
Trang at 3:30am and then looked around for a place to stay. The streets were dark and there was hardly a person on them, except for the odd scooter. After searching for about an hour we finally found a cheap guest house located right on the water, how nice is that.

During the day the activity that we did the most, was walk around the beach, sit in the sun and drink Chang (Thai beer). At night we walked around the city and probably explored almost the whole place by the time we were done.

There are many hotels, guest houses, and bars all around Hua Hin, but after 2:00am the place just shuts down. This was quite a difference compared to Samui, Phi Phi and Lanta. At this point we would make our way back to the room to enjoy a few more beer and listen to music.
On the last day we were here some naval ships were doing some battle drills, not too far out in the water from the pier. They were firing off blank shells but it was still loud (scared the hell out of us...hehe), I could see it great from the bar we were sitting at. I tried to take some pictures of it, however it was quite hazy and you can't see the ships very well.

I liked my time in Hua Hin as it was cheap to stay, the seafood was great, and it was very relaxing compared to some of the other spots I went to in Thailand. A very nice way to enjoy my last bit of time here.

Pros:"Relaxed mood, good seafood and cheap."
Cons:"None really as I didn't have much cash left, so I can't complain."
In A Nutshell:"A nice place to end my tour of Thailand,"

That jellyfish is way bigger than the ones that wash up on Nags Head. I'll always wear my flip flops on that beach!
