THis year I visited Ecuador and Galapagos together with my dad.
Booked with Bales Uk and the local agents in Ecuador were Metropolitan Touring.
All was organised well. We started off from Quito then flew to Cuenca and then drove through the Cajas National Park to Guayaquil from where we took a 4 day cruise of the Galapagos islands on board the MV Santa Cruz.
Cuenca is a lovley town and it is a World Heritage site. See the hanging houses ,take a walk by the river , visit the Cathedral ,visit Banos for a relaxing day at the thermal springs and take a tour of Cajas National Park.
At an altitude of over 3900m Cajas National park is a wonder of lagoons, magnificent scenary and faboulous flora and fauna.
- Pros:Great cities,towns, scenary, nature at its best and wonderfull people.
- Cons:The high altitude in come places is the only con I can think of.
- In a nutshell:Life in its purest form.
