  • Very interesting snakefarm with the deadliest snakes of the world among others.
They give an excellent feeding show and if you are not too scared you can take a non-poisonous snake around your neck for a nice photo to show when you are back home.
They try to find antidotes here for a poisonous snakebite.

Chinatown: China Town... A Great Experience!
  • Tip Rating:
  • Walk through the very narrow alleys and be amazed by all he things you can buy here for almost nothing.Enjoy all sorts of food street vendors sell all over the place!
It is also nice to just walk in the more quiet streets to breath the atmosphere.

    Cathedrals and Churches: Kalawar Church
  • Tip Rating:
  • One of the very few Catholic Churches and this one in particular is one of the oldest.
You enter the church passing a schoolyard and because of that fact you can't always get there cause the gate is closed when the children are having class.

  • To my humble opinion this temple is by far the most impressive.
The handcraft on this temple is so tiny that it must have taken them ages to complete it.

Royal Barges Museum: Royal Barges Museum
  • Tip Rating:
  • You will find this museum when you take a cruise along the Chao Praya River.
Here you will find the old Royal Barges in which the kings went over the river.
Especially the fronts of these barges are impressive and scary cause they had to scare the bad spirits.
You do have to pay to take pictures!

Directions: The Chaophraya Tourist Boat stops right at the museum. If you take the regular Express Boat service, the nearest stop is Pinklao Bridge Pier, although this involves a long winding walk along a narrow concrete walkway over the swampy land.

Parks: The Late Princess Mother Memorial Park
  • Tip Rating:

  • The Late Princess Memorial PArk
  • by Joenes
  • Send Photo to a Friend
  • It is a very small park which not many tourists take the time to pay a visit to.
For the Thai the Princess Mother was a mother for all the Thai because she came into the Royal Family as an ordinary Thai Woman.
This is why I wanted to see it!

Or take the express boat and get off at Memorial Bridge Pier and walk across the river and go left when you are there.
