I moved here in July of 2003. It was extremely hot for a Canadian girl. I still feel like a visitor many months later and am discovering new things everyday about my host country. I have one year left here and hope to make the most of it.
My family visited Manama in February, 2004. I had the opportunity to get out and visit many places that I had only heard of. Thanks to them I feel like I could be a certified tour guide.
From the desert to downtown, there is lots to do and see in Bahrain.
- Pros:Fun nightlife, friendly people, good shopping, great food
- Cons:suicidal drivers, hot summers, dusty, brown
- In a nutshell:A great place to live, an even better place to visit
