I first came to Lincoln in June 2004. My husband is in the Air Force and went with a crew to do an air show at RAF Waddington. I discovered that a good friend of mine lived near there (in Retford), so made arrangements to stay with her. My husband was staying in a dorm at the Univ. of Lincoln. So we ended up spending a lot of time there, and it was great. I was very impressed with Steep Hill, the castle, and the cathedral in particular.

I came back to Lincoln a little more than 2 years later. I was on a 10 day trip to England, staying with my friend in Retford again, and I suggested that we get tickets to the Lincoln Shakespeare Company. It was a fabulous time, and I got to see a little more of Lincoln that I hadn't seen yet (the Medieval Bishops' Palace). Better yet, I got to see it lit up at night. It's magnificent!
