Not got tons of photos to put up for my Casablanca page, i was there for one day as part of cruise itinerary.
6 of us (us and 2 other couples we met) decided the best way to see the sights as such would be to hire a taxi, so we somehow managed to snare a 6 seater old mercedes to do the duty.
Our taxi driver was really sound and took 45 euros between the 6 of us which worked out at about 5 pound sterling a head, bit of a bargain really when u considered how much the cruise company were charging for their city bus tour.
Casablanca is much as you would expect an North African city to be like, you can see the French influence lots. There are plenty of markets Souks(??) and it is the custom to haggle with the stall holders, so try your best. The locals tend to hassle you alot but just politely tell them where to go!!!
- Pros:A bit mystical, Cheap Taxi's!!
- Cons:Bit Smelly, its part and parcel.
- In a nutshell:Casablanca - Not like the film.
