Habitat for Humanity- Buenos Aires

The town of Beunos was a very small, quiet town that was diverse with many different cultures of African Carribean descent, indiginous and whites. The average house was made of masonry blocks and covered with a sheet metal roof. The floors were commonly a basic tile that was easy to clean and would not be effected by the common elements of bugs and rain.

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:Everything was in walking distance: groceries, bank, post office, bars/ clubs, rivers, mountains
  • Cons:Very low income area of Costa Rica, where a lot of housing was far below sub-standard housing
  • In a nutshell:Typically beautiful Costa Rican town, with lush forest, pineapple fields, mountain scapes, and kind people.
