Getting TO/AROUND: A commercial Monorail service operates around the main retail area of the central business district running down to Darling Harbour and skirting the harbour, before returning to the city area. A return trip is a good way of getting some perspective on the upper part of the central business district. It also gives you a great elevated look at picturesque Darling Harbour. HOURS Monday to Thursday: 7am-10pm. Friday and Saturday: 7am-midnight. Sunday: 8am-10pm.

Getting TO/AROUND: There are many Train stations around sydney except for the northern beaches side. At each train station there is a details map of the train lines so you can plan ahead of time were to get off. Like the buses the trains are a very good way to travel around sydney. They are comfortable and there are undercover security officers gurading the trains at all times. The trains run to the early hours of the morning. Sometimes its easier to take the train rather than your car to the city centre. Parking is expensive in the city vs a train ticket with will cost around AUD$4.00 Rtn

Getting TO/AROUND: For a more majestic trip to the city, and an unparalleled view of the harbour, Sydney Ferries are a must. Less crowded than the trains and buses, they operate from Circular Quay, and are just one indicator of Sydney putting its world reknowned harbour to good use. The ferry routes that Sydneysiders use for the purposes of commuting run regularly between 6am and midnight, whilst those which service tourist attractions have a more limited service. With the suburbs sprawling out along the banks of the Harbour, there is no shortage of destinations, from inner-harbour areas like Kirribilli and Neutral Bay, a route that gives a ducks eye view of Kirribilli House, the official residence of the Australian Prime Minister, to Darling Harbour, Parramatta and Taronga Zoo. The ferry is also the most sensible way of getting to the ever popular Manly on the North Shore, and all ferries will give you picture postcard views of the majestic Harbour Bridge and legendary Opera House.

Getting TO/AROUND: Qantas Airways is Australia's home airline. It offers flights to and from most places. It also has a Frequent Flyer Program. I collected enough frequent flyer points for 2 adults to Fiji from Sydney. Awesome experience.
