Wild horses park - Popielno and other Mazury, Poland Things to Do Tips

The Popielno is the place of Polish Academy of Science and is is the national park of wild polish horses. In the wild part it is possible to meet horses living in the nature. In the vilage Popielno you can try riding polish horses and watch them grazing.

Directions: in Ruciane-Nida turn north, cross the lock (worth seeing) and go to Wejsuny. In Wejsuny turn north (left) and go to Popielno. Pass the national park border.

It is called "the peral of Polish Baroque".
It is the sanctuary of Virgin Mary, a church and a monastery.
The legend says that the convict waited for the death sentence in prison.
The Virgin Mary helped the convict. She said he had to make the sculpture of her. He did it and the sculpture of Mary with a Child was so wonderful that it helped him. The judges told that it was a sign that God pardoned the convict. So they let him go.
The man left the sculpture of Mary on the linden which was near and after that this place started to be famous with a lot of miracles.
The beggining of this Saint Place was in the 14th century and the first mentions about the small chapel in this place were from 15th century.
It is very interesting place to visit it.
There are a big baroque organs there are you can listen to the special concerts.

Kadzidlowo is a very nice place to visit especially with the children.

It is a private Park in the big forest Puszcza Piska where you can meet a lot of wild animals and birds.

I suppose it will take about one hour or a little bit more walking around and watching the all animals especially because you can't visit it alone. The are the groups with the guide which tells about the animals in interesting way.

It is opened since 9 a.m till the sunset.

It is very nice small town where there is also yacht marina which is very well known.
You can go there and have a very good fish or spend nice time listen to the concert of the sailors' songs.
It is also the good place to stay in and to have a base to visits the nearest area.
