Old Town: Old Town in Warsaw

  • It was destroyed after the WWII but the people rebuilded it again. It is nice place to walk around with many nice cafes and rather expensive restaurants.
    The tenements are colourful and there is a monument of the mermaid on the main square of the Old Town. The mermaid is a symbol of Warsaw.

    Castle Square: Castle Square in the Old Town

  • There is a Royal Castle there which was rebuilded after the WWII. You can also see the column of Polish king Zygmunt there. The Zygmunt's Column is the main place for meetings of young people after vacation for example.
    You can visit the Royal Castle because it is interesting historic place in Warsaw.

    Lazienki Park and Chopin's Monument: Lazienki Park
  • Tip Rating:
  • It is one of the most romantic and beautiful places in my town. You would like it, I promise. There are a lot of old tress there , a lot of the peacocks, nice squirrels and also a lot of old historic buildings like the Palace which you can see on the photo.

    Palace of Culture and Science: Palace of Culture and Science

  • It is a one of the main remains of comunistic part of history of my conutry. It was build by Russian architects in 1955. It is 231 meters high and it has 42 floors. Personally I don't like it but when the weather is nice and sky is not cloudy you can see the beautiful view from the top of it.

  • It is quite nice place to walk especially with the children. There are a lot of animals there. You can also see for example the very new place for the elephants with some young ones:) Personally I also like: the hippo, giraffe, zebra and some other ones.

    Gardens and parks: Botanical Garden in Powsin
  • Tip Rating:
  • It is one of the most wonderful places in the suburbs of Warsaw. You can get there by some buses or by car, of course.
    It is very good idea for nice family walk at weekend. There are a lot of nice flowers, plants and old trees there.

  • As you maybe know Fryderyk Chopin was born in 1810 year in Poland in Zelazowa Wola near Warsaw. He died in 1849 in Paris.

    Chopin was a famous composer and one of the most famous Polish people on the world.

    There is his monument in Warsaw's Park called Lazienki.

    New Town: New Town
  • Tip Rating:
  • New Town is an extension of the Old Town in Warsaw.
    There are few interesting churches there for example the Church of Saint Kazimierz.
    The church and the convent was built by the project of Tylman von Gameren. The building of the church started in year 1688.

    Syrenka - Mermaid: Mermaid on the Old Town in Warsaw.

    This one from the picture there is on the centre of marketplace of the Old Town.
