Recently (OK, this was back in June 2005) I went out to hike around World's End, a park out in Hingham, MA. It features tree-lined walks, and views of the harbor. I shot a few photos, which I'll get up here eventually. So, I hiked around the park, a 4 mile walk which today featured 100 degree Fahrenheit heat and thus a lot of sweat on my part. I enjoyed it though; it was nice to get outside an enjoy a beautiful walk. There weren't a lot of people at the park; I don't know if that was because of the heat, or because of the place's low profile.
World's End is managed by the Trustees of Reservations, an organization here in Massachusetts which manages natural and historical parks. This is the 4th of their places I've visited, the others being Crane Beach, Castle Hill, and Halibut Point Reservation, all up on the North Shore. |
