Franklin, my former home

by rwlittle - last update: Jan 8, 2006

my condo complex, here in Franklin
I really should have done more to capture the essence of Franklin here, but I needed to wander around town and take photos to do that, and time got away from me. I lived here for about two years, so I've got little excuse.

Franklin is a suburb of Boston...very far-flung from Boston, in fact. It's very suburban, mostly residential and the commercial properties you would expect in the suburbs.

Franklin does feature the United States' first public library. Also here is Dean College.

I lived in a condo complex located near the freeway, allowing me an easy commute to work during the work-week. A photo of my complex is shown in the photograph. The location is very convenient, with two grocery stores, a Walmart and a Target, two drug stores, a photo shop, a liquor store, a multiplex cinema, and a handful of restaurants all within a 10-minute drive.

Yes, you can't beat the weather in Southern California, but I bet you have seasons out there!

Ah, you poor things! I hear about your weather daily from Jackie. So I tease her with the beautiful weather here and she wonders why on earth she moved. ;-)

8.30 is our official start time, and off at 5.30pm...in Sydney, I used to start at 8.30 and finish by 4.30pm. what an adjustment!
