It's New Orleans, watch for street cars... | Street car on St. Charles, in New Orleans |
Nw Orleans is a seaport on the Gulf of Mexico, where the Mississippi River empties out to sea. It's built on reclaimed swampland...as the ground has dried out and settled out, it has sunk, and is now well below sea level. Famous for Creole and Creole food, jazz music, plantations and gentrified living, streetcars, the French Quarter, and Mardi Grs, the city of New Orleans is an interesting and eclectic place to visit. |

What pulls me here? M is going to law school at Tulane University in New Orleans, so I get to visit the city from time to time. |
