Carcassonne is a medieval town/fortress, with impressive restored fortifications. We visited here as a part of our 2003 vacation in France. We arrived by train from Toulouse, and took a taxi from the local train station to our hotel right in the citadel. Within the walls are hotels, restaurants, and various shops. |
