Tel Aviv as an Icon in Architecture

During the 1930s the city of Tel Aviv was in a stage of rigorous development. Most of architects working in the new city at that time were of European background and brought with them the ideas of the modernist movement.

These architects were influenced by the works of Le Corbusier, Erich Mendelsohn and the Bauhaus School of Art and Design, raising a large number of buildings in the central area of Tel Aviv.
If you walk along the city of Tel Aviv, you can find those great buildings some open into the big city and some others just off the beaten path. It is like being in an open museum of great Architecture!

I have also found the Bauhaus Center of Tel Aviv, where besides modern objects, books, posters, etc... the people can also visit on-going exhibitions on the site.
The Center are managed by Dr. A. Ben-Shmuel and Dr. M. Gross.
