We thoroughly enjoyed Dubrovnik. Our accomodation in nearby Zaton enabled us to make 3 separate visits. We were too early for the big summer festival but we did catch some of a medieval festival. Our favorite part was walking the walls.

All four of us want to return to Dubrovnik on a future trip. It would make a wonderful base for trips to Mostar, Kotor, Peljesac, Korcula, and Mljet- all places we did not have the time to visit!

Stradun

It was quite warm in early July. Best to visit the museums and churches in the morning, the afternoons on a beach, then return in the evening for dinner and a walk.

A very worthwhile tour. Check out the exotic marble in many of the rooms. Escape the daytime heat in the prison. more travel advice

Nice pics and info on Dubrovnik and Lopud! I'm ready to go with my family! The family that travels together, stays together!

Ok, you sold me, I need to visit Dubrovnik. I also need to stay where you stayed in Zaton, that looked perfect.
