Peachfront's Trinidad Diary

We went on a birding tour based at the Asa Wright center, an old plantation which is now a popular birder's destination. Just sitting on the verandah and sipping a Rum Punch was an experience because of all the hummingbirds, bananaquits, and honeycreepers using the feeders. It's a great place to visit to get lots of South American birds in one place and still have time to stop and smell the Rum Punches.

Pros and Cons

Pros:lots of South American birds in a small area
Cons:the ocean could be a bit rough
In a nutshell:All this and the giant sea turtles too!
