Tai O is a famous fishing village in Hong Kong. It is at the northwest coastal border of Lantau Island. That means it is quite far away from the town. Nevertheless, it is worthwhile to travel for more than an hour to this enthralling fishing village. You still can see people living in the lodges at the riverside. That's the traditional buildings that the fishermen live in.
Apart from the bungalows, don't forget to walk through the streets in between the houses. The shops there are selling local products, like salted fish, shrimp paste and other unique snacks.
