No trip to Oz is complete without a visit to Sydney. I rolled up here the morning after the last night of the Olympics, good timing(!). Missed all of it, unfortunately, but managed to get down to the Opera House for the Athletes Parade, so I got to see 'Thorpedo' and Kathy Whats-her-name and a few gold medals. I stayed at the Mecure Hotel which seemed to be near the Red Light district and strip shows. Funny that.
Saw the sights, the Opera House, Darling Harbour, Harbour Bridge, Manley Beach, etc. We arrived here mid-day and had an excellent view of the Opera House and Bridge from the plane as we flew in.

When we went to a concert at the Opera House a Brit couple asked us in the interval to take a snap of them with the bridge behind them. Wonder if they are VT members.
