You definately don't go to Gulu, Northern Uganda for vacation. The hunger and despare of 18 years of civil war has really taken a tole on this part of the country. When you stand in front of a local hospital, around 6 p.m. and watch a sea of young people, ages 5-13, flocking into the gates to sleep in safety, you really get a reality check on your own life. We went there to lend a helping hand to the local NGO's trying to make a difference in a land that does not see or feel hope.
- Pros:If you are a feeding oragiztion, you could really help!
- Cons:Your life is in constant danger due to the rebel army.
- In a nutshell:This is a country that is in need of everyones help.
