Here people use frequently taxis, because the common transportation is poor, and the cost is cheap. For short routes 3 soles ($1) is usual and from the center to some suburb 7 - 12 soles. Always ask the price before!

Most Common Transport Means Combis Y Micros - Buses Review

Busses and microbusses are the most used transportation vechiles in Lima. They are also the most common source of pollutation. The co-driver is keeping the door open and crying people to step in and telling where the bus is going to. Price of ticket is 1 - 2 soles. Old North-American school busses are commonly seen. Bus stop is everywhere.

Old Cars

Here you may meet old or otherwise especial cars. Please, help me identify more exactly the cars in photos, if you are able to! My suggestions:

1. Dodge Dart. Looks like original 1966 model, but I suppose it has been built later in Colombia.
2. Looks like Datsun/Nissan Pickup model about 1980?
3. Ford Taunus 17M P3 1960-64. I myself had similar from 1961 in 1975, but farmer model.
4. Volkswagen 1300. I had also many samples of this car.

The vegetables, fruits and other food materials from the countryside are transported usually by small lorries, or vans.

You may see lot of vans in Magdalena, because there is a big market pöace.
