Krakow... I think I could live there too..

by Toja - last update: Sep 6, 2004

possibly the most charming city in Poland

the view from Wawel
Krakow is the second city I like the most after Wroclaw. It used to be Polish capital city in the middle ages. Now, it's still a very important cultural and business centre.
But you don't feel in hurry there. The opposite - even in the afternoon I really felt like on sunny Sunday morning there.. and having a drink and a piece of cake at one of the cafes while listening to classical music was a great pleasure too..
Wawel

Wawel - the castle of Jagiellons

this is a part of the castle from the outside. I didn't take this picture in the best place for the purpose.. Pity I didn't go on the other side of the river. This picture doesn't show its real magnificence

Wawel inside

And here - the part of Wawel inside. Actually, it's only a fragment of the courtyard..

And well.. I don't have authorisation to do that, but if you are interested to find very good and precise info on Krakow visit the site of Ben-UK or matcrazy1 (the last one is really huge)
Wawel inside

Pros:"great friendly atmosphere, esay to move around"
Cons:"well... none for me :)"
In A Nutshell:"one of not so many original places.. as it didn't suffer so much in WW2"
