First Impressions | Trieste: A City on the Hill |
After 3 days in Venice, I needed a break from it and Trieste seemed like the perfect choice. From Venice, I took a comfortable and reliable 3 hour train ride. As Venice is on the Western side of the Adriatic, Trieste is on the Eastern side of the Adriatic. So the train ride is essentially around the Northern Perimeter that separates these cities.
Upon arriving in Trieste by Train, you will enjoy a stunning view of the Adriatic Sea of this charming city.
Upon getting off the train, if in the late summer, you will be greeted by a refreshing wind that will continue to keep you company in whisper during your stay there. |
| | Only Spent a Few Hours Here From Trieste's Central Station, I pretty much stayed within a km. The primary place of activity in Trieste is by Piazza Dell'Unita D'Italia. When I was there, there was some kind of relay race sponsored by the government. |
