Funicular Funicular - Siklo Review

I've not seen a funicular before but this was fun! It cost peanuts to use and apparently there was a good view (I'm scared of heights...I'll say no more!)

Address: District I, Szent Gyorgy ter and Clark Adam ter

Directions: Next to the bridge at Clark Adam Square. Access by buses #4express, 16, 86, 105 (Clark Adam ter stop) or trams #19, 41 (Lanchid stop).

Funicular Funicular - Siklo Review

I've never seen a funicular before and this one goes up very steep! Apparently the top car is filled with water to make it head down and then the water is released at the bottom so the other car goes up.....all i can say is I'm scared of heights so my eyes were a little closed...but I'm assured there was a great view!! IT cost peanuts to use aswell!

A fairytale place Fisherman Bastion - Halaszbastya Review

The fishermans bastion was like a young girls paradise! It was like a fairlytale castle! It also gives great gives over the Danube and Pest!

Directions: It can be reached by the Castle bus (Varbusz) from Moszkva ter.

Budapest castle Buda Castle - Budavar Review

Budapest's castle was occupied until fairly recent times. It now houses art in different forms. THere's a free display and one you pay for...so naturally I went to the free one! There are a lot of religious paintings/sculptures and gothic alters there...I'm not religious but they were amazing! THe amount of gold on some of the alters was well over the top but great to look at!

Directions: On the top of Castle Hill (Varhegy). Funicular from Clark Adam ter (Buda bridgehead of the Chain Bridge), bus #16 from Deak F. ter, bus VAR from Moszkva ter. No cars allowed.
