My favorite thing to do in Key West has to be just talking to the "locals" I put quotes because over half of the people we talked to were from New England. I think the drinking had something to do with it, but people were very friendly, and you could easily engage in conversation. We talked to so many Key West residents that told us " I came down here for 2 weeks and never left". I can see how this could happen. We talked to alot of Key West residents who are referred to as "Conchs". In my opinion these people have woken up and smelled the coffe. They know that they live in a precious place, and they get upset when they see tourists destroy things, so use your head and HAVE SOME RESPECT!

How funny is it that I also took a picture of snowy New England on my way to Florida this past March too? It WAS a brutal winter, huh? Oops, just realized that you went LAST winter. Well, it's ALWAYS so damned cold up here! |
