BANGKOK HERE I COME!! q(**)p

A view from the top

Bangkok
Woke up on the early morning 5:15am and I had a taxi to pick me up at 5:45am. Believe me or not, the taxi driver was really mad that he was travelling 110km to 120km per hour...I was never been that awake in my entire life while I was in the cab. Mehala and I almost missed our flight from KL to Singapore and from Singapore to Bangkok. We really love doing last minute exercises.
Isn't it great to have a view of BANGKOK from the top?
We arrived Bangkok airport at 1pm..started looking for Mei Leng - mehala's friend, who has travelled to Bangkok by MAS airlines. Later I found that she is one of the active Vtier too.. =)
We checked into Evergreen Laurel Hotel at 2pm. After unpacked, we starting heading to our first shopping destination - Jatujak market. It was very humid in the market and many people were busying burgaining and targeting the goods from the stores. We were just wondering from stores to stores..The goods didnt get much of my attention, only the humid environment (est. 38 - 40 degrees)got most of my attention...I was busying of wiping off the sweat from my forehead! Finally, we stopped at a store sell sandals...three of us got a pair of nice sandals which cost us 180 Baht. (RM 17+) - It's a good bargain. We left bout 5:30pm due to the heavy rain. We tried jump into the cab, however, they refused to sent us back to the hotel because of the terrible BANGKOK JAM! Then, Mei Leng suggested to take the BTS-Skytrain. It cost 40 Baht (per person) from Jatujak station to Chong Nonsi (Inter-change at Siam station). Chong Nonsi station is near by citibank building. Actually, it's only a short distance to the hotel anyway we took tuk-tuk back to hotel. Lucky for us that the local people told us that it will only cost us 30 Baht (RM3) for us to travel from Chong Nonsi station to Evergreen Laurel Hotel, or else they will charge us a boom!
At night, we had our dinner at Noodie restaurant in Phrom Phong. There is a night market along Silom road. Do learn the skill of burgain, you need to burgain with them if u really wanna buy the item.
My 2nd day..buzying working...As recommendation by client, we went to Anna's Cafe near by Silom road. - "TIPS: make sure you bring along map, or else the cab driver will lost his way too" Yes! the cab driver has to ask the direction too! Finally we arrived Anna's cafe and had our dinner. Somehow, the dishes that we had were not tat delicious at all =(. Then, we had our market survey along PahPhong night market... [JOKE of the Day: After long walked along the PahPhong night market, we decided to take Tuk-tuk back to hotel. The Tuk-tuk driver said he will charge us 200Baht (RM20) - [5 -10 mins walking distance]. WE just cant help ourselves and laugh like mad. (Do we look like a stupid foreigners?)

Pre-birthday night!

My 3rd day in Bangkok - Working in day and outing at night! I had my first VT meet in BANGKOK!! We went to a nice cosy restaurant - Food Loft. It was really a fun night chatting with the VTier's. We tried to find out where to get good food and best shopping places. I did enjoy that night with VTier's. q(^^)p Mehala & Mei Leng suggested to bum into any pub in PhaPhong to have my birthday count down celebration...sad =(..damn..another year just passed by, and gonna be "1 year older"---sigh!
Day 4 in Bangkok - have to work during daytime (sigh!) n outing at night =). We have a nice cool dinner (birthday dinner) at The Water Front Restaurant. It's worth to travel 45mins cos the dishes were delicious!....
Day 5 in Bangkok - We went to Maboonkrong Centre to have our BIG Shopping! Perhaps, you can get any T-shirts at 99 Baht! or any clothes at 199Baht! (Thumbs up!)...
meha & Mei Leng

Great friends to travel with..thanks..

Last day in Bangkok...We went to Khao Sarn for dinner (TOM YAM KONG restaurant - view the details in Restaurant recommendation) --even though we didnt get our "men" in the cool Khao Sarn Irish pub..however, we did have a great night here...
Tips for Backpackers - While along the street of Khao Sarn..spotted a book store..(or just a book shelf on the wall)..notice some old travel books..most books have noted the Do's n Don't when travel in Bangkok ..and some interesting advices...

Language in Thailand: Most of the people speak Thai and they speak abit of english too. As refer to the locals, they practice English from primary school. TIPS: Do not have private english conversation infront of the Thai, cos they might understand...
