Changi Boardwalk

This 1.2 km boardwalk hugs the Changi coastline from Changi Beach Club to Changi Sailing Club. The boardwalk is made up of four segments

Sunset Walk for a splendid view of the sunset over Changi Point, amid a backdrop of huge boulders.

Kelong Walk: a stretch of the boardwalk with kelong stilts built over water, reminiscent of the 'good old kelong days'.

Cliff Walk: located just below the hilltop chalets, allows a walk through lush greenery. Viewing decks along this stretch at vantage points provide panoramic views.

Sailing Point Walk: near the Changi Sailing Club provides open views of the sea.

Every third Saturday (10am) of the month, there will be a free guided walk of Changi Boardwalk by the Green Volunteer Network. There are many beautiful, old and interesting trees around Changi Point. With the recent opening of the Beach front Boardwalk, this walk has become even more interesting. Meet 10am at the coffeeshop nearest Changi Meridian Hotel, Changi Village. The entire walk would take about 2 hours and please bring along your own water and wear comfortable walking shoes/sandals. To join the guided tour, you will need to pre-book.

Changi Prison Chapel and Museum

The Changi Museum was relocated to its new home on 15 February 2001 and was officially opened by our Trade and Industry Minister BG George Yeo. This date was also chosen to coincide with the 59th Anniversary of the fall of Singapore to the Japanese in 1942. The new Changi Museum replaces the Old Changi Prison Chapel and Museum (built in 1988) that was relocated to its current site to make way for the expansion of Changi Prison.

In honouring the spirit and commitment of those who rose from the depths of adversity, the Museum inspires future generations to come and deepen their appreciation of the heroic and inspirational stories that unfolded in Changi during the war. The Changi Museum is dedicated to all those who lived and died in Singapore, in particular the Changi area, during the dark years of World War II.

Changi Sree Ramar Temple

The Sree Ramar Temple at Changi Village is the only temple of its kind in South East Asia which is dedicated to Lord Ramar, and situated in an almost unique location facing the East, overlooking the sea and guarding the village.

The Temple has a rich and colourful history stretching back more than 50 years. From its humble beginnings as a shrine at the foot of a tree at its present site, it has become a spiritual centre for the Hindu community in eastern Singapore.

There is also another uniqueness of the Temple - Changi Sree Ramar Temple is the only temple in South East Asia to have Sri Ragavendra in Brindavanam.
