Basic Facts About Dobrinishte Dobrinishte is situated in Southwestern Bulgaria part of Bulgaria, surrounded by three mountains Piril, Rila and Rhodopes. 850 m altitude. It is 165 km away from Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria and 6 km South of Bansko, the biggest ski resort in Bulgaria. A unique attraction is the Edelweiss garden, which is the only one in Bulgaria. For the cultural and historical lovers interest will provoke the churches “St. Peter and St. Paul” and “Assumption of Most Holy Mary”. In the surroundings of the village is located the monastery "St. Pantaleimon", the place called St. Nicola with a water fall of the same name. |
Ski in Dobrinishte and Bansko Over Dobrinishte is located the longest ski track in Pirin. Only 11 km from Dobrinishte, up in the Pirin mountain is the Gotce Delchev chalet (1412m altitude). It is the bottom (lower point) for the longest ski track in Bulgaria, which is more than 4 km (2.45 miles), and the longest chair-lift – 3.7 km (2.28 miles). They both go up to Bezbog chalet (2236m altitude). If you are not a very good skier you’d better go there because the ski track is very ramp and suitable for beginners. Dobrinishte is located some 6 km (4 miles) South-East of Bansko - the fastest growing ski resort in Bulgaria. The skiing area comprises 11 marked ski runs and 4 ski tracks with a total length of over 25 km. Their location allows for multiple skiing combinations by offering descents of varying difficulty and slope. There are several ropeways, including an 8 passenger "Gondola" ropeway, 4-seater chairlifts, 2-seater chairlifts, T-bar lifts, platters, etc. |
Hot Mineral Springs in Dobrinishte Dobrinishte is the spa resort in Pirin with 17 mineral springs with temperature of the water between 30 and 43 C. Many of them are popular for their curative effect. The water is known to cure almost every disease - diseases of the nervous system, the skin, the joints, the kidneys, the liver, the gall, etc. The most famous of the springs is the Silver one - rich in silver ions and history – once the ancient Romans bathed there for hours. Now a days there are several holiday houses with facilities for spa therapy. |
