People and Traditions You may know, if there is a "Hadji-" in the man's name, it means that he or someone in the family has been a pilgrim and visited the grave of Christ in Jerusalem. Our Great Great Grandfather Dimitri, has become a "Hadji-" a long time ago in the 18th century. Since that time, our family name has become Hadjiev (Hadjievi in Bulgarian). |
