In Mogadishu, I didn't really expect anything from a hotel, a safe and secure resting ground is all I wanted.
I was warned by one of the UN staff, that the Safahi Hotel at the K4 intersection was the choice of many journalist. However, be very careful that there are two Safahi hotels, and the 'fake' Safahi is known to have its customers kidnapped.
Be very careful when you choose your hotel.
Unique Qualities: The hotel was clean. It is 4 stories high and quite a few rooms, I was the only one staying at that time.
The rooms are clean and equip with an air conditioner (note that I wrote 'equip' because the AC works only when there is electricity, and the supply of electricity weren't reliable when I was there).
The hotel provides all three meal with enough pasta and juice for the whole Mogadishu, plus lamb chop and fruit.
