You can climb the stairs to get here or take the elevator. I climb the stairs. It was weird. The steps were shaped around the dome, so you're going in circle and leaning at the same time. Once you get on top, the view is breathtaking. Eventually, what goes up, must come down.

Awesome place. When I was here in 1998, there was a clothing requirement to enter the Vatican. No shorts and tank tops. Just wear long pants and a T-shirt and you'll be ok.
