Puerto Plata, my first destination when I finished university. This trip was a gift for the occasion.

I'd never been in the caribeans before. Good first trip.

Pros and Cons

Pros:Nice beaches, nice population, low cost
Cons:Small waves (to me at least)
In a nutshell:Wawa, the local bus transportation, what a nice way to meet locals
