Serene Kyoto

by quime - last update: Oct 26, 2004

Kyoto was originally called Heiankyo "capital of peace" and it is the 7th largest city in japan.
there are more than 1,600 buddhist temples and 270 shinto shrines that also kept pace with modern world, electric machinery and chemical plants that are numerous too!
Kyoto is a sightseer´s paradise.
a living museum of the rich japanes past heritage.
a rewarding experience

I saw a couple of these temples in January :) I put the pics on my Japan page though, because I only spent one night there.

Many temples in Kyoto. I remember my long walks from one temple to the other. Very nice page.
