Its series of towns squares gives Savannah a special charm. I remember warm pleasant days, and sitting on a bench people watching. Of course we read what is known as "The Book" in Savannah and had a lot of fun taking the "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil Tour" (there's even a shop of souvenirs based on the book) as well as a seperate trolley tour around the city. We took a day trip drive to Hilton Head one day, but enjoyed our time in the city more. This was the second half of a trip with my high school/traveling friend Marilyn, with whom I'm now planning a trip to London. My son Matt had an emergency appendicitis operation a few days before I left, and he was recuperating with some good friends at home. We'd been planning this trip forever, and I decided I could live with the guilt. I enjoyed my time in the South immensely, and my son was happy to have something he could hold over my head the rest of my life. |

Very nice pages, Kat | kazander Wed Jun 22, 2005 20:16 UTC A very interesting page on Savannah. My sister and mother went last year, I was a bit jealous that I didn't go with them:) | littlesam1 Mon May 9, 2005 17:43 UTC Savannah is everything you expect a southern city to be. I hav enot been there recently but really like the city. I think I would enjoy the book tour. |
