I spent 2 nights in a standard room in Feb, 2003. I also spent 4 nights in a junior suite in March, 2005. The standard room is nice, but the suite blew me away. Located on the 25th floor, it had an awesome view west of the mountains and north of the Strip. See my general tips for more info. The rooms are quiet and a nice break from the action downstairs in the casino. We ate at FIX (very pricey), Cafe Bellagio (not as bad) and grabbed something quick at Snacks (cheaper). There is a place to get coffee and treats in the morning as well. Also had breakfast at the Buffet, which was average. Make sure to check out the pool, the gardens behind the lobby and the shops. Skip the gambling unless you know what you are doing. The machines will suck your pocketbook dry. Oh, and don't forget the fountain shows.

I stayed there for a conference in March, 2004. Although this is one of the older hotels on the strip, they have sunk some money into the hotel. Some of the rooms have been renovated nicely - make sure to ask for one of those. The conference center also looks newly renovated and is huge! The casino and restaurants are just average. I only grabbed a couple of quick bites from Lindy's coffeeshop when I didn't have time to go anywhere else. Make sure to check out the pool area.

I stayed here in Feb, 2003 for a wedding. This fairly new hotel/casino is way off the strip in Summerlin (west of downtown). It sits in the middle of the vast suburban sprawl and it's hard to miss. The room was big with a great view of the mountains and nearby Angel Park Golfcourse. The prices were cheap too. The casino was the best for gambling as it caters to the locals. The slots are looser and we all did well. You can also bowl at the 64 lane bowling alley or watch a move in a regular movie theater. The food was just average - I would recommend breakfast only.

jennwill99 Wed Jul 25, 2007 21:55 UTC Great picture! I have never stayed on that side of the hotel and it appears that Bellagio makes up for the lack of fountain view with a nice bathroom and a sunset! |
