During my trip to New Mexico I made Santa Fe my 'base of operations'. It is located about an hour north of Albuquerque and is the state capital of New Mexico. The Spanish and Native American influence is very noticable here. Most of the buildings and houses are adobe style.
Santa Fe covers a large part of a valley bordered by the Sangre de Cristo mountains and you can see this range from just about anywhere in the city. |

| | Like most cities, there is a 'strip' which features just about every chain restaurant, hotel and store you can think of. It's good if you like the comforts of home. The Plaza of Santa Fe houses many shops, restaurants, art galleries and museums. |
