"Protaras" Famagusta District by intertraveler

We have been going to this part of Cyprus many times from1989.
We have had many great family holdays in Perera Beach.
When we first went there Protaras was divided by fields but over the years Protaras and Perera Beach the merge into one now.
This is a great place for family holdays not to loud with plenty of bars and restaurants.
Perera beach is not to big good for the kids and there are also small coves and beaches along this coast.
We have many happy memories of our holidays here.

Update Nov 2008

We drove up to this area to have a look as I have a lot of memories about the area it is good to come back.
In November the area is shut down for the winter there are some building work going on.
I was a bit shocked as was about 6 years since my visit how to me the have over developed the area.
Protaras the main street has been pavior blocked it is just like being back in the UK.

• Cons:Bit over developed
• In a nutshell:A great plce for the family holiday
